The Sun Inn
Grade II listed building with heavily carved beams dating back to the 16th century focuses on fine real ales and excellent home cooked food. Join us in the winter for roaring log fires or in our large beautiful mature garden or cosy courtyard in the summer months. We welcome everyone! Children are encouraged to bring well behaved adults, dogs with owners, ramblers (pre bookable available), and people who want to relax in a warm friendly atmosphere, enjoying a pint or more of real ale and eating a home cooked meal. Staying as a true public house, The Sun Inn has a no booking policy except for parties with seven or more. Therefore we do advise early arrival to avoid disappointment. . Our focus is to provide high quality locally sourced food at reasonable prices. We operate as a traditional pub, where you get served at the bar to start with. The Railway Tavern
The Railway Tavern is situated in the heart of Kelvedon, Colchester, Essex. Barry and Sue Hatton have been the licensees for the past twenty years and have built up a successful mix of tradition and modernity. At the Tavern you will find a great range of real ales, wines & spirits to compliment an extensive food menu. The Tavern has plenty of facilities including a large car park, a 42 seat restaurant, cosy snug room and main bars. A great feature of the Tavern is its riverfront location and al fresco eating areas. The river Blackwater is full of wildlife and the water is as clear as the beer.
